Muhahaha! It's me, once again... Page Piranha! Kneel down against my power...
Haha!
Today I'm going to introduce one character, one weapon and one level.
But first, some news from the team. The main coder, OneEyed, is still
working on the kart prediction. Prediction is something very complex
between the player and the server, and it's designed to reduce the ping
and make the game more fluid for the slower connections. The Source
Engine is not thought for the race games, so we are doing everything
from scratch.
Okay. Do you remember the Green Shell? The Red
Shell is looking the same... with only one difference: it's red.
Simple, right? The real difference is in how it functions: the red
shell follows the player right in front of you until it hits him or any
other obstacle. If the Red Shell is shot backwards, it acts just like a
Green shell. Oh, by the way, you can keep your shells behind your kart
as a shield against the other shells!

Hello, humans. Welcome to Mario's world, my name is Page and you are all weak.
Someone paid me to write this shi.... this news. Firstly, I'm going to talk about the Dev Team. These guys are a group of hippies from all over the world. Their job is to make the "greatest Mario Kart ever", taking the best from each game. They are actually working on some nice things and levels, like the Race Mode, Skyscraper, Big Donut, and much other things.
Their leader, SilentJoker, left them some months ago. Now the rest of the team have taken command. They can make their own decisions now, so it's easier for administrating the forums and the website. Sh4rk left us too because his job is done here, and he said he doesn't need to stay anymore. Shadowwill also left us because of his studies. Studies and jobs are the plague of the team: All work is volunteer, with real life a constant obstacle in the mod development.

It's been a fairly long year for the mod, with inevitable slowdowns and
real life trials playing havok with the team. As a consequence, there
have a been a fair few ups and downs. Lets begin with the few downs. In
the last half of the year, we lost members Mojo and Shadowill, whose
work on the mod remains as a testament to their hard work. Likewise,
others in the team have found themselves playing a more restrained role
on the team due to real life cutting in. Coding in particular has had
its progress slowed to a crawl, however most other areas continue to
progress without too much interference. So despite the loss of two of
our members, we continue to strive to make the mod great and work ever
closer to that holy grail of a beta.
